The Hand

'Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?' Isaiah40:12

"The only thing you can grasp without damaging your soul is MY HAND."  Jesus Calling 2/5

I have been wanting to try and paint this picture from the Hubble Telescope entitled The Hand.  Since the telescope has been sending in pictures, we are seeing amazing things of the universe that has never been seen.  This particular picture is amazing as it depicts an actual hand.  After reading the above scriptures, I just had to finish this.  What a photo to actually contemplate.  Did He do that just for us to see at just the perfect time that the photo was snapped from the telescope?  How big He must be from just the survey of the size of this hand?

For the first time ever, astronomers say they've borne witness to a supermassive black hole consuming a star.  "This was the first time we saw one of these big black holes going from quiet and silent to very loud and noisy, producing a lot of light and radiation," said Davide Lazzati, an astrophysicist at North Carolina State University.  The Earth-orbiting Swift observatory picked up a sudden burst of radiation from a point in the constellation Draco, 4.5 billion light-years from Earth.

The beauty of space compels us to continue to search for things we have not yet seen.  Could a creator who knew our limitations in exploration, continue to entice us to see more of His creation by revealing stars at just the right moment that our lenses snap the picture?
