Hand Made paper

Our May session of The Maker's Space was taught by talented paper artist Jim Leonard.  His work can be viewed in the gallery of the Glen Ellyn Covenant Church until mid-June or on his website @http://jimleonard.wixsite.com/works. He first led us on a tour of his works, then he explained his process along with books on the subject.  He uses natural plant material found in the ditches, like the humble cattail.  His process can be found on Youtube from his website.  He made it seem so easy.  We had so much fun creating and recycling paper and fiber.  His photography from all over the world is so inspiring when he makes them into cards using handmade paper.
Come see his exhibit at the Glen Ellyn Covenant Church, 277 Hawthorne, Glen Ellyn, IL until mid-June.
